
In Cusco you will definitely want to stay at the Monasterio which is an old 15th Century Monastery although there are plenty of good hotels to choose from
At Machu Picchu you can either stay at one of the hostels in the small town at the foot of the mountain, ( often called aqua calliente for its hot springs, but they have recently changed the name of the town to Machu Picchu).

We recommend Gringo Bills it is the safest. But for a truly magical experience we suggest the Sanctuary Lodge. The only hotel at the top of the mountain, and it is literally steps away from the citadel itself.
We definitely suggest you use Hotels.com because some of these hotels can get kind of expensive, and for some reason we always get the lowest rates with them...
